DayStar's 2026 summer internship exists to create redemptive and discipling relationships so that Indigenous youth would
KNOW Jesus,
FOLLOW Jesus,
and SHARE Jesus.

Over seven weeks, you’ll be challenged, equipped, and encouraged to grow in faith, leadership, and service while making a redemptive difference in the lives of Indigenous youth.

A Summer of Growth & Mission

Intern Training & Adventure Week - June 20–26

• Foundational training at the DayStar House and Coldwater
• Team building and leadership development
• Spiritual gifts and personality assessment
• Outdoor survival and ministry skills
• Indigenous cultural learning
• Establishing discipline, structure, and mission focus

Warrior Leader Summit - Lake Williamson Christian Center (Illinois) - June 27–July 4

• A large youth gathering focused on Gospel engagement
• Travel and team preparation
• Building relationships with Indigenous youth
• Gospel-centered conversations
• Identifying next steps for discipleship

canoe trip -
July 5–15

• Canoeing and camping leadership experience
• Wilderness skills training Leading devotions and spiritual conversations
• Sharing testimony in small group settings
• Practicing servant leadership in daily camp life

Day Camps
June 27–July 4 & July 27–29

• Games, crafts, and activity leadership
• Team-based ministry
• Personal testimony and relational engagement

Soccer Camp
July 20–25

• Skill development and coaching
• Relationship-building with youth and families
• Gospel conversations and prayer opportunities

Volleyball Camp
July 20–24

• Supporting camp operations
• Building connections with participants
• Sharing personal testimony

Hiking trip
July 30–August 6

• Grow spiritually and share your faith
• Build practical hiking and camping skills
• Lead through service and relationships with Indigenous youth

Debrief & Vision Forward
August 7–9

• Evaluate growth and leadership development
• Clarify spiritual gifts and next steps
• Develop ongoing discipleship connections
• Strengthen team encouragement
